How to add a driver to your team in Optiway Dispatch

Adding the driver

1. In the side menu, open the Drivers tab
2. Click Add driver
3. Fill in their name, email and vehicle type
4. Press Add

Use the email address the driver actually uses on their phone — the invitation is tied to it. Vehicle type matters because it shapes how routes are planned for them.

The invitation

Optiway emails the driver automatically, with a link to download the app. They sign in with the address you entered, and the invitation is waiting for them inside the app — as soon as they accept it, they start receiving routes from the dispatcher in real time.

If it does not arrive, check the spam folder first, then the address for a typo. The other usual cause is the driver having signed into the app with a different account than the one you invited. Correct the address and send the invitation again.

Drivers never pay anything themselves — the driver app is free for everyone on your team and no one is asked for card details. What a driver costs you depends on the plan: Early Access is free and covers 300 stops a month, and Team raises that to 2,000 stops a month for $99. Neither plan bills per driver, so adding someone to the team does not change what you pay. See billing and changing your plan.
