How proof of delivery works in Optiway

What the driver captures

At each stop the driver can record one of three things, whichever suits the delivery:

  • A photo — the parcel at the door, the pallet in the bay
  • A signature — signed on the phone by whoever received it
  • A note — "left with neighbour at no. 14", "reception closed"

Each one is attached to that specific stop, with the time it was captured.

Why it matters

Proof of delivery turns a disagreement into a lookup. When a customer says a parcel never arrived, you open the stop and see the photo and the timestamp instead of relying on what the driver remembers about a shift three days ago.

It is also the evidence base for a claim: a delivery with a photo and a signature is one you can stand behind.
